Loss or Damage to Your Vehicle
Our motor vehicle insurance has coverage for loss or damage to your vehicle. This means that if your vehicle is damaged, stolen or burnt anywhere in Australia, eric can repair, reinstate or replace your vehicle. The key benefits for this include:

- pay you the cost of repairing your vehicle; or

Legal Liability Cover

If the driver of your vehicle causes accidental damage to someone else’s property as a result of the use of your vehicle and is at fault, Comprehensive Cover includes up to $20 million Legal Liability cover. Key Additional Benefits
Replacement of New Vehicle
If within 24 months of first registration, your vehicle becomes a Total Loss, eric may choose to replace it with a new vehicle of the same make, model and series, subject to availability, or pay up to the Amount Covered.
Essential Repairs
If your vehicle is accidentally damaged, eric’s Car Insurance will pay up to a maximum amount for emergency repairs so your vehicle can be driven on to the intended destination or to your place of residence or employment.
Emergency Travel
eric will pay for emergency travel and/or overnight accommodation in the event of your vehicle not being restored to a roadworthy and safe condition by Essential Repairs following an accident, theft or damage, over 100km from your home.
Hire Car After Theft
If your vehicle is stolen, eric will reimburse the cost of hiring a similar type of vehicle up to the maximum policy limit, until your vehicle has been found and repaired or eric have replaced or indemnified you to the extent of the policy coverage.

Can I add a driver to my comprehensive motor policy?
Yes, a driver can be added to the policy. In fact, all regular drivers of the vehicle should be listed on the policy. We will need to collect details such as the driver’s name, date of birth, drivers licence number, year of first licence and their driving history including any at fault accidents or traffic convictions in the last 5 years. This may impact the premium payable on the policy.
Are learner drivers able to drive the vehicle?
Yes, learner drivers are able to drive the vehicle as long as they are supervised by one of the nominated drivers listed on the policy and they comply with any applicable State laws. Normal age and driving history excesses will apply. See your policy for details.
Can I change the vehicle insured on my comprehensive motor policy?
The vehicle on the policy can be changed, however the policy will be re-rated to reflect the new vehicle on risk. The premium payable may be impacted. Once complete, a Certificate of Currency will be forwarded verifying the change.
